The ANI-PD model is built upon the principle that teacher preparation for adult mathematics instruction must be sufficiently intensive and focused on providing instructors with a strong base of mathematics content and pedagogical knowledge.
ANI-PD Goals include:
Participants will work with Adult Education Learning Standards and the Common Core State Standards and focus on four strategic instructional practices. This institute will concentrate on the content strands of Number Sense (Fractions, Decimals, Percents), Data, Statistics, and Graphs. Teachers will continue to utilize a toolkit comprised of print materials, binders, texts and manipulatives.
