GED® Writing Test Score Changes

The GED Testing Service® has invalidated the New York State Education Department's use of a "200" score for candidates whose Writing Test had a non-passing essay score.

As of Wednesday, November 16, 2011, the standard score for Writing Test cases that had a non-passing essay score is "0".  A hyphen (-) will continue to be used in cases where a candidate did not take a specific section of a test.
